How we research
For history and cultural heritage, we prioritize UNESCO, site stewards such as the Dunhuang Academy, museums, libraries, and peer-reviewed scholarship. Travel conditions should always be confirmed with current official sources before a trip.
Search trend data informs internal editorial priorities but is not presented as absolute search volume. We do not publish synthetic statistics as facts.
